We are all tied to water. It connects us all, it is essential for our daily existence. It nourishes our body and our soul.

Join us to explore this connection through film, sound, movement, and visual art that unfolds with the passage of time.

Time Based Art - refers to artworks that rely on the passage of time and unfold over a specific duration to be fully experienced. These works have a temporal dimension measured in minutes or hours.

Common Types and Mediums (not limited to or a combination of)

Video and Film - Digital programs, interactive environments, and internet art.

Audio Art - Sound recordings and immersive sound installations.

Computer and Software-Based Art - Digital programs, interactive environments, and internet art.

Slide Projections: Sequences of photographic slides shown over time.

Performance Art: Live actions or recordings of actions that emphasize the flow of time

Key Characteristics

Duration: The work has a beginning, middle, and end, or loops continuously in real time.
Technology Dependence: Most pieces require electronic equipment, monitors, projectors, or software to function.
Reinstallation: Because technology changes and hardware wears out, these works are often reinterpreted and reinstalled differently each time they are shown in a museum or gallery.

Group Art Show

We will also be featuring a group art show installation of contemporary visual art and photography by our local artists. Our works will be tied to the theme We Are Water, of our connection in all its forms and manifestations.
